Featherlite Trailers recently completed a one-of-a-kind specialty trailer for PING, a leading designer and producer of golf clubs and golf gear. Built to serve on the PGA Tour, this custom-designed trailer functions as a fully equipped mobile workshop, allowing PING to deliver personalized service and hospitality wherever the tour travels. The trailer made its debut at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
The trailer serves as PING’s home base during PGA Tour events. At the heart of this trailer is a space where PING technicians can repair, adjust and replace clubs and equipment for players onsite. Whether it’s fine-tuning a driver, regripping a putter or making last-minute modifications before tee time, the mobile unit ensures players receive service without leaving tournament grounds.
To maximize functionality and space, the trailer features large slideouts on both sides, dramatically expanding the interior footprint once parked. An innovative expandable roof system is also raised to increase headroom and create a more open, comfortable environment for staff and visiting players. The upper deck of the trailer will also serve as a podcasting lounge, which will allow a unique space for interviews and content creation.
Beyond the workshop, the trailer includes a lounge and hospitality area designed for meetings and consultations with golfers. A custom display cabinet highlights a variety of PING-branded hats, while dedicated storage areas ensure merchandise and gear remain organized and easily accessible throughout each event.
Every element of this specialty trailer reflects the shared commitment to quality and innovation between Featherlite and PING. Take a full tour inside this impressive new workshop on wheels that was custom built by the talented team at Featherlite!
